WeTheChurch.org is live
WeTheChurch.org has now officially launched.
What? WeTheChurch.org is a very simple site designed to bring ministries together in prayer. If you need prayer for something, type it in. Have a praise about something that happened. Type it in. While you’re there, pray for a few on the prayer list. It’s that simple.
Why? I was inspired by the community of ministry-type folk that have connected on Twitter. I quickly learned that I could throw out something I needed prayer for and a lot of people would pray for it. WeTheChurch.org is an effort to take that same dynamic and spread it across the ministry world. The site is entirely about the power of praying for each other. There’s not even a place to register or put in your name. It’s about the need more than the person or church. It’s about people fervently praying for the needs of others.
How? It’s easy to interact with WeTheChurch.org. Just type in your prayer or praise and press “Send It.” We also have an RSS feed set up if you’d like to receive all the updates in the reader of your choice. If you are a Twitter user, you can also follow the updates at the WeTheChurch Twitter page. You’ll notice the prayers and praises are limited to 140 characters so it plays quite well with Twitter.
And that’s about it. I’m really not quite sure what to expect. I’ve been praying it turns into a tool for God to use. It’s an idea that has come together very quickly. It would not have happened without Scott, who handled all the technical aspects because, as it turns out, I’m an idiot with that stuff. We’ve got a few ideas for some features we’d like to add in the future but I’d also like tons of feedback from you guys. Please let us know what you’d like to see from WeTheChurch.org.
Please let us know if you write about the site or would like any further information.

Thanks for the kind words.
@Barb That’s what the “Praise” column is for. Short entries on great things God is doing in your life/ministry.
