There are a million sites out there dedicated to making you a better photographer. Many are great, some are not.
One of the great resources, though, has always been Zack Arias. The past few days, he’s started presenting video critiques of photographer’s websites on his blog. These have been amazing so far. After just two episodes, [...]

My quarterly Twitter post
Time for my a-few-times-a-year follow me on Twitter post. If you’re not using Twitter, you probably should be. If you are, you can follow me here.
I may not always follow you back because at the end of the day I just can’t keep up with everyone. However, I love to talk to people on Twitter. [...]

Here are some random links I came across on Twitter today.

A FAIL, WIN kind of day
So today Congress passed the massive economic bailout, I mean “relief package.” I consider that to be a massive economic FAIL.
However, on the exact same day, my buddy Nate is completely out of debt. And that’s a huge WIN! Anyone who is in debt and feels like you’ll never get out should spend a few [...]

How long could you survive chained to a bunk bed with a velociraptor?
I managed 1 minute, 6 seconds. I’m quite proud of that.

This post by Seth Godin puts into words a constant struggle I deal with, the never-ending inbox.
Most of my mornings start with organizing my to-do list for the day and answering e-mail that came in over night (usually 10-20). By the time I’m done answering all of those I’ve received a few responses plus my [...]

Still alive!
A couple of weeks ago I posted about one of my childhood staples, Ecto Cooler.
Well, good news everyone! It’s still available on store shelves today as “Orange Lavaburst.” It’s lost its formerly Slimer-esque green tint, but it tastes just like I remember it.

For Tony
Tony and I went to the Apple store the other day as he ponders a switch to a Mac.
So, I just figured I post these two articles for him and anyone else thinking of moving over.

Taking better pictures
I am in no way an expert. In a lot of ways I’m still learning. However, I get a lot of questions about photography so here’s some basics to learning to take better pictures. Whether you want to be a pro or just take better pictures, these will help.
Step one: Take pictures
Take them everywhere in [...]

Where I do what I do
I had a couple of people on Twitter ask to see a picture of my newly cleaned office so here you go. If you’re like me, you have a fascination with people’s workspaces. (If you aren’t like me, that’s probably normal.)
I also submitted the shot to WhereWeDoWhatWeDo.com. I love this site. So many looks [...]

Interesting things I’ve found lately:
WhereWeDoWhatWeDo.com
My new favorite site. I have this odd obsession with seeing pictures of people’s workspaces. It’s even better with all the Apple products and cool desks around. When I get my office cleaned (finally) I’ll put mine on there too.
Los asks, Cute or Disturbing?
I say very cute with just a pinch [...]
