The beautiful part

Growing up, I always found the Bible to be kind of boring. Sure there were some cool action scenes, but there were far too many big, stuffy words. I’m sure most kids see it that way.

It’s not until I’ve grown older that I really see the beauty in it. It is a book filled with stories about rebellious people. People who consistently make the wrong choices, walk away from God and generally just screw things up. Through all of that, they find grace in the mercy of an amazing God and King. They are no different than you and I. Flawed. Without hope. In need of a savior.

Sometimes it takes a few decades of screwing up to really see the beauty in the way God works.
